31 years later

Today, 31 years ago, Mark David Chapman, shot John Lennon near his home in New York. He thought he would gain his fame. He thought john was a hypocrite. To sum it all up he though "oh why does john sing about peace and selflessness but yet have all of this money" The man was and still is insane. John was rushed to the hospital but was dead in arrival. Mark was found guilty and placed in jail for life and has been denied parole. At least 2 fans have killed themselves over this terrible event. Rest in peace John.

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace

You, you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world

 you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will live as one

you may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one

The sixties where filled with imagination, color, and Life. In a world like ours you have to look a little harder for those kinds of things. sometimes we may give up hope but then someone comes along and brightens up our lives. For a while I was feeling as if I had somehow ended up in the state of mind as most people in this world are in. I was not myself. But one day I heard the song Imagine by Jon Lennon and I remembered where I came from. My imagination is back. I can dream once more. I guess you could say that I've had a revelation. Im happy to tell you that Im finally back to being me. A Madona in my own image. A rockstar in my mind.
                                                               Keep on being you,
                                                                                          Beatle buddy :)

Real life movie???

I dont know if anyone else has this, but when i watch a really good movie my mind thinks that I'm in it in real life. I kinda like it. Its like the camera is on you 24/7 and you are the star. Recently, i watched all the Beatles films and now I'm sure me and my friends are the Beatles. Mya is Paul, the funny sweet one. Chrissie is George, the quiet one. But when they talk, they are hilarious. I am Ringo the comic relief. These where actually all ready placed between me and my friends. We called ourselves Beatle buddies. Hence my username. Does anyone else get this fun feeling of adventure and action?
                                                                 Still dreaming,

Happy Birthday Jon

October 9, 2011. What would have been Jon Lennon's 71st  Birthday. On December 8th 1980, he was killed by Mark David Chapman. His wife found him and called 911. They sent him to the hospital. He was dead on arrival. Jon will always be remembered for his wit and genius. Rest and peace Jon.

The sad truth

I have recently come to a sad realization. Ok, so i am a big nirvana fan and i read a book a about a boy who's friends love nirvana to. but they said that nirvana should not be compared to the Beatles. now i agree 100%. There is a fine line between rock and grunge. But they also made another valid point. the only reason that the Beatles had the obsessive fans that they did was that they had nothing to be compared to. Now, that does not mean that they did not have good music, because they did. They had AMAZING music. but the reason why the band got the commercial success that they did was the fact that they where the first real rock band. And man did they start with a bang. That is why everybody else who is big gets compared to them. cause they where so big and new. please don't hate me for telling this. This is just my opinion.

George on the big screen once again

Ok so apparently they are making a movie on george harrison. I don't know how i didn't hear about this earlier!!It includes never before seen footage and interviews from Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton,Yoko Ono, Olivia Harrison, Phil Spector, Tom Petty, The Beatles' producer George Martin, and Monty Python stars Terry Gilliam and Eric Idle.  Me and my friends hope that it includes an interview with pattie, his first wife.the film is produced by Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese and Olivia. The film is named after George's 1973 album "Living in the Material World". To be honest, the only info i have on t is the info from my friend. Check out her post at Here there and everywhere.

Eleanor Rigby

"Eleanor Rigby, picks up the rice in the church where her wedding has been. Lives in a dream. waits at the window, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door . Who is it for? all the lonely people .where do they all come from? all the lonely people, Where do they all belong? "  This is how one of the Beatles musical masterpieces begins. The song Eleanor Rigby was  mainly written by Paul McCarteny but the lyrics where a brainstorm between all 4 of the Beatles but mostly john and paul. He wrote the song about an old lonely women named Eleanor Rigby, and a priest named Father Mackenzie. He originally named the priest father McCarteny but he didn't want to freak out his dad so he looked in a phone book and found the name Mackenzie.  The Beatles themselves actually didn't play any of the instruments on this track. They hired an orchestra for recording. But that dose not affect the amazing sounds of all the instruments in this record. the lyrics tell a story of an old lady who dies and no one really notices. it also tells of a priest who is lonely too and just spends his day writin in a book of some sorts. The song can be either depressing or beautiful, depending on how you look at it. it won a grammy for best male pop song. this song is truly a masterpiece for the record books.
                                                       where do they all belong?,

Hey jude, whats up

Ok, so recently i was at a supermarket where the song hey jude by the beatles was playing.then a man yelled "This song is about drugs" i dont think thaat this man was completely sain but it still infuriated that every song by the beatles is some how misinterpreted into a drug refrence! So just to clear things up: hey jude was a song written by Paul McCartney for  john Lennons son julian. John was switching from cynthia to yoko ono so julian was sad.The name jude was used in place of julian for rythm purposes. i realy donyt know how this could relate to drugs, but either way, its a buetiful song.
                                                                    keep on rocking,

The beatles and thier drugs

The Beatles where highly influenced by drugs in theur later carrers. Some of thier song where written while on acid trips.  But it actually started back when they met up with Bob Dylan in their early years. He gave them drugs thinking that they where familiar with the substance. He had misread a lyric in their song " I Want to Hold Your Hand". He thought the line "I can't hide" was "I get high". they had never expirienced anything like it. They started using the stuff and even used it on the set of thier movie "Help". but when they went on a spiritual trip to india, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi,  thier spiritual teacher, said that they got in the way of your jouney to nirvana. so all the beatles and co. stopped . but one day they were invited to a dinner at thier dentits house. He was a good friend of thiers. so they went but they could only stay a while. as they where about to leave, the dentist and his wife told them to just stay for hot chocolate. Which they did.And as they where about to leave the dentists wife said " Well now you REALLY can"t leave" "Why not?" Asked George. " Beacause you have taken drugs, it was in the chocolate." The beatles freaked out and dizzily drove away. From then on john and George where back on the stuff. They felt it stengthend their spiritual connections. They never really used the hard stuff... just things like LSD and weed. I dont beleive that it got to the point of addiction and i think it was more of an extraordinary expirience for them.  Eventually though, george died of lung cacer. he smoked the most. But Drugs where the cause of songs like I Am the Walrus and many more.
                                                           kids, dont do drugs,

Why the beatles????

some people might ask me " why do you only blog about the beatles????"  Well, its the only thing i know. I was raised listening to classical opera, donovan, audiobooks, rocky horror picture show { only the music} musicals, and my favorite: The Beatles. They ha catchy music, good voices, and most inportant to me at the time; they hade a cartoon movie. these cartoon charectors where real people! Imagine my excitement when i found this out! so, i wanted to find out everything, and i did....... mostly. im still learning but yeah... its what i know best and if i talk about anything else, well, lets just say i probably wouldnt do that. so there you have it.
                                                               always learning,

Beatles: Why did they break up?

I want you to take a good look at this picture..... are you done? good. This picture is a perfect representation of the beatls when they where divided.george and john ,paul and ringo. the beatles where in india on a spiritual vacation a little while before this picture was taken. After a while George and jhon became obsessed and ringo and paul left back home to start working again. this is where they started drifting apart. It was george and jhon vs paul and ringo.....well...sort of. They all became different in their own way. some say yoko ono, jhon lennons wife, had something to do with it. i personally think only the beatles know that for sure.
                                                                               sincerely,
                                                                                         Beatlebuddy

Beatles Trivial Pursit Review "With a Litttle Help from my Friends"

Recently I bought the game Beatles Trivial Pursuit  the collectors addition and Pplayed it with a friend who is helping me write this.as a beatles fan I am not impressed. the questions where either very simple or monumentally hard. some where barely about the beatles!!!!! For example "What did adults have to do to gain entry into the charity party attended by the beatles?"  the beatles where not the reason for the adults restictions, they where just their. Thats just one of the questions!!!  others wherequestions that only stalkers would know the answers to! I think The Beatles dont even know! I think that this should have been more focased on things like "who said what" and "name that song". Ya know? well, thats all for now
                                                                      stil kinda annoyed,

sgt.pepper's lonely hearts club band

This is sgt. peppers lonely hearts club band. in the late 60s, the beatles where tired of each of them being known as 1 fourth of the beatles. they wanted to be jhon george pual and ringo, 4 mates in a famous band. so, sgt. peppers lonely hearts club band was born.A made up band with colorful costumes, brass instrumants, and all of the imagination they needed.if you look closely at this pic, you can see jhon lennons fav tv set. yup. the artist who designed this set asked people to bring randome objects for the pic. in this album, the songs teel a story and good ones at that. this marks yet another turning point in the beatles carrer.

the beatles

From left to right:George Ringo Paul Jhon
The beatles started out as the quarrymen with
jhon as the lead singer. then paul came on the scene.
jhon and pual went to grammer school together one grade apart.
then paul mentioned a friend from the bus, George harisson.
after alot of begging jhon let him try out for the band.
he got in. thequarrymen where very popular in hamberg germany.
this is where they met the hurricanes and ringo starr.
after a year with pete best asthier drummer, they replaced him with ringo.
by now they where the beatles. and thats how it  all started.

music contrvercies

I personally love the beatles but some may love the rolling stones. music has always started contrvercies even when the bands like the beatles or stones just sung about a simple relationship people took it wrong. BOB DYLAN WAS ONE OF THEM :D. he thought that in the beatles song" i want to hold your hand"  in the verse: "I cant hid i cant hide i cant hiiiiiiiiiiiiidddddddeee" he thought it was "i get highh i get high i get hiiiiiiiiiigh" as in high on drugs.and nobody can forget the lucy in the sky with dimonds insedint. one day, jhon lennons son had drawn a pic of a girl named lucy, who he drew in space. his friend wrote the words lucy in the sky with dimonds  on it confusing dimonds with stars.paul and jhon found it so cute that they  made a song. it was not until later that they relized the fraz lucy in the skywith dimonds could stand for LSD  ( yet another drug). And with the song yellow submarine, peole thought it was about a yellow drug pill. Will people evr learn?,
